Visual Communications Production Specialist

We are seeking a talented Graphic Production Designer to enhance our dynamic visual communications team. This role is essential in ensuring that all graphic designs and job layouts meet customer specifications while preparing provided artwork/files for compatibility with our design and RIP software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Master Flexi Design Software alongside Adobe Suite.
• Understand and navigate the PC environment and workflow efficiently.
• Act as a backup for operating vinyl plotting and wide-format printing equipment.
• Oversee server maintenance and backup processes for all graphics department files.
• Calibrate and operate monitors, office printers, and print equipment to guarantee precise color production and proofing.
• Assist in the upkeep and cleaning of all equipment.
• Educate clients on the correct submission of digital files.
• Engage with clients to comprehend their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Handle phone inquiries as necessary.
• Contribute to maintaining our social media presence.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 4 years of formal education in graphic design or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in the signage industry is advantageous.
• Familiarity with various substrates, media, and products used in the sign industry is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships with a diverse clientele.

Preferred Software Expertise:

• Adobe Illustrator – latest version.
• Adobe Photoshop – latest version.
• Adobe Acrobat Professional – latest version.
• Extensis Font Software.
• FlexiSign – latest version.
• Adobe InDesign – latest version.
• Proficiency in wide-format printer and Onyx RIP operation.
• Understanding of color management principles and practices.
